Holy Thursday: The Day Jesus held the Last Supper
The Holy Triduum is the commemoration of the last few days of the earthly life of Jesus of Nazareth. The celebration begins with the memory of the Last Supper of Jesus along with his apostles known as â€˜Maundy Thursdayâ€™. On this day Jesus instituted the Eucharist, Priesthood and gave the commandment of Loving Service. The Holy Thursday celebration began here in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 5.00 p.m. Rev. Fr. Valerian Dâ€™ Souza was the main celebrant and Fr. Joy concelebrated the Eucharist. In the Reflection of the day Fr. Joy emphasized on the importance of Eucharist, Priesthood and a call for unconditional Service in the footsteps of Jesus. After the Mass, Consecrated Communion were kept in the Altar of Repose. Adoration and a time of silent prayer and reflection continued until midnight.
