Parish Priest

After the death of Fr.Fedrick Lobo, Rev.Fr.John took the charge as parish priest. He stepped in as an young priest with tremendous zeal to face and conquer any mighty challenges. Records say that the Parish saw many good developments in his period. By forming the 'Catholic Youth Movement' he was sucessful in uniting many youth from all four corners of the Parish. Due to his vision and support, this youth movement started bearing fruits of hope that would last long and help our Parish to develop its youth power for the service of Church. Later in rememberence of its foundation day an public bus stand was built nearby our Church which is still been used and helpful to everyone. Through CODP he helped poor families of our Parish and also built 45 houses for poor without considering any religion and caste. With the help of sponsors and well-wishers he raised the Church belfry(bell tower) and high level water tank which was essential. The complete presbytery which is been used today was built during his time. He was the reason for the Sisters of the Congregation of Apostolic Queen to step into Kuppepadavu to render their selfless religious service. They started an new Convent and health care centre under the name 'Mariagiri' which is still rendering an rich contribution in the field of health and religious service.
